Prior to treatment, the practitioner will carry out a consultation process to discuss medical history, your personal requirements and answer any questions you may have.

A traditional Indian Head Massage treatments is carried out in a relaxing environment seated in a comfortable low back chair. The therapist will use a variety of techniques, including effleurage, petrissage, and gentle tapping, to work on your shoulders, upper back, arms, neck and scalp.

The session usually lasts around 45 minutes to an hour, providing a deeply relaxing experience.

Alternatively, I offer treatment on a seated onsite massage chair which excludes treatment of the face and arms, focusing attention on the upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp.

What does Indian Head Massage feel like?

Indian Head Massage stimulates blood flow to the treated areas and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system which slows our heart and breathing rates, lowers blood pressure and promotes digestion. Massage pressure and technique will be discussed to the clients liking and objectives, but many report feelings of deep relaxation, relief of muscular tension and headaches, and relief of mental fatigue. Overall, Indian Head Massage can be a very relaxing and calming experience.
